Trusted Attorney in Probate & Estate Planning
Megan Alfano
I am the founder and attorney at Alfano Probate and Estate, where we take pride in offering professional guidance in estate planning and probate matters. My journey began in criminal and family law, where I developed a passion for helping others during challenging times. Early in my career, I was fortunate to help establish a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting low-income families with guardianships and family planning—a cause that remains close to my heart.
Later, I founded Support on the Spectrum, a 501(c)(3) organization aimed at empowering parents and caregivers of individuals on the autism spectrum that provides access to vital local resources. In 2020, after the loss of family members coupled with the joyous birth of my son, my professional focus shifted profoundly toward probate and estate planning, with a particular emphasis on special needs planning.
As a committed parent and advocate, my husband and I welcomed our son in 2020, navigating various challenges, including his autism diagnosis in 2022. This experience revealed a significant gap in available planning resources for families, prompting me to dedicate my practice to probate and adult guardianships, along with estate, special needs, and elder law planning.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new and exciting places, as it provides an opportunity to experience different cultures and maintain fresh perspectives. Family time is essential to me; it strengthens our bonds and helps create treasured memories. Additionally, I find joy in writing children’s books, which allows me to inspire young minds and share stories that can make a meaningful impact on their lives.
